Outdoor, Event Banners & Flags
Mettje’s flags and banners are much more than signage, they are art. They function as a way to express dreams and passion, loyalties and aspirations.
Outdoor banners include flags, suspended across the street banners, main street banners and light pole banners. Mettje designs for you, using images, description and logos to create the design work.
Main Street Banners are fabric murals
This across the street mural banner is suspended over the street in Grand Junction, Colorado to show how the community is proud of its artistic heritage and its journey toward excellence.
Red Ball Express across the street banner
An across the street mural banner gives information representing a fun event for the Durango Rotary Clubs. Street Banners are well suited to announcing fundraising events and giving sponsors recognition.
Our outdoor banners are suspended art Installations. Mettje Swift develops the banner art to suit you and your organization.
The fabrication process called border applique, is a very unique process resulting in light translucent, two-sided banners. Each assembled tapestry glows like stained glass.
Parade of Homes Banners
The Parade of Homes announces itself with a banner that tells the story through strong graphics and bright, contrasting colors.
Music in the Mountains Banners
The Music in the Mountains banner is still beautiful and has been displayed 2 to 4 weeks a year for over 20 years. Our work is not only beautiful, but long lasting.
Celebration Banners
Celebration banners are suited to Mettje’s use of bright colors and clear graphics. Each finished tapestry is pieced together to create the final banner much like leaded glass, and shines like stained glass.
Light Pole Banners
The fabric is a heavy-duty yet lightweight Solarmax 200 & 420 Denier Bright Nylon, the standard in the industry. It is vat dyed, meaning the dye is poured into the vat of liquid nylon and then it is spun into a roll of fabric much like cotton oxford cloth. Using these outdoor fabrics ensures your banners are beautiful. Our materials are made in the USA. All wear points are reinforced, and grommets are set in 1 1/2 or 2 polypropylene webbing. City installation crews love to hang our mural banners!
Fabrication Process for Translucent Fabric Banners
Our banners are automatically two sided. Sewn by border applique, the design is hot cut and pieced to assure pure, brilliant color. They are sturdy but lightweight and have a longer, more beautiful life than banners made of heavier, opaque materials with printing.
